The Stirling Lecture is on Fermat's Last Theorem. It will be given by the renowned author Simon Singh. ?The lecture will take place on December 8th 2011, at 5:00 pm in CLC 013.
The search for the Research Associate positions (2012-2014) is now live. The closing date is December 7.
2011-12 Associateships were awarded to individuals or small teams to support their research programme and particle physics phenomenology research in the UK.
Frank Siegert, who finished his PhD thesis at the IPPP in 2010, has won the annual IoP price for the best PhD thesis in Computational Physics. ?The award has monetary value of ￡250. ?Frank is now a postdoc at Freiburg University in Germany.

Sebastian Franco and Michael Spannowsky will join the Institute in September 2011.
